No extra cable needed. 36v actuators and H to H motors are better, can handle higher wind loads and rotate bigger dishes and these use their own power source and cables via a receivers built-in 36v positioner. Still a lot of digital receivers don't have a positioner built-in but in this situation you could use a thing like the V-Box. The advantage of this is satellite positions are programmed inside it instead of into the receivers software. Basically all the different motor types are designed to do the same thing, tracking the satellite arc within 180 degrees radius. It is not possible to see beyond this range as the other satellites would be below the horizon, like from your location out of sight. Its a good preparation to figure out where to place a dish so fences or other objects are not in the way of view to the satellites you want to catch. If all is aligned correctly the dish will move to a satellites location as you hop channel. With this setup it will open up to a larger world of viewing.. Visit Lyngsat to find out which dish diameter is required from your location for any selected satellite. So the bigger dish you have, the more channels you can watch. There is also the option of subscribing to packages from other satellites. Like mentioned before channels also have English audio. There are choices like Documentary, Movie and Nature channels. Like if you are living in Finland you don't have to select only Viasat or Canal Digital. On the many satellites there exists different bands, each of these working in different frequencies. C-Band is low band and most of the time requires big dishes. Ku-Band which is used throughout Europe, operates at higher range of frequencies. Both of these bands have Vertical and Horizontal (Linear), Left and Right (Circular) polarization. A LNB type is either Circular or Linear, you could still have both on same dish if you put the two LNB's next to one another. If you choose to do this you must use a 2/1 DiSEqC switch, this will automatically tell the receiver what LNB to select for the type of signal. There are endless choices of dishes, motors and satellite receivers but don't give up its not as difficult as you might think. The horizon is full of satellites and channels which everyone can catch with the hardware that is available on the market. Have fun.
